What is the Blue Economy?

The blue economy represents a sustainable approach to utilizing ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of our ocean ecosystem. It encompasses emerging sectors like renewable blue energy, desalination, and blue carbon, as well as traditional sectors such as fisheries, marine conservation, and maritime transport.

Why the YSEALI Blue Economy Workshop?

Our oceans face critical challenges, and the future of marine conservation lies in the hands of the next generation. The YSEALI Blue Economy Regional Workshop is a platform where young leaders from Southeast Asia come together to drive sustainable solutions for a thriving blue economy.

By fostering collaboration, innovation, and hands-on learning, the workshop equips participants to develop actionable strategies that balance economic growth with the protection of marine ecosystems. Join us in empowering youth to lead the way in shaping the future of our oceans.
